Land of Promise Donates School Supplies

June 7, 2016

Land of Promise (Nourish the Need Program) in partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank (Kids in Need Program) donated 5,276 pounds of school supplies to Fulton County Schools.

Parents who struggle to put food on the table may also be challenged to provide their children with necessary school supplies. The Nourish the Need Program provides weekend food backpacks and the Kids in Need Program  provides school supplies.  Each program’s vision  includes the belief that every child should have the tools necessary to achieve academic success.  This collaborative effort focuses on  improving students’ lives whose educational accomplishments are threatened by poverty.
